How we feed our dogs can have a huge impact on their coat, skin, health, mobility and even behaviour - so there are lots of reasons to get excited about nutrition. Chris and Killian O’Keeffe are both certified canine nutritionists, are based in Cork and run DogNutrition.ie nationwide. Their passion for feedings dogs well started when their own French Bulldog, Ruby, presented with food allergies and they started investigating food ingredients and ways of feeding. Since then, the duo have not only become certified nutritionists, but have also completed advanced training in specialisations in nutritional support for conditions like pancreatitis, kidney disease and allergies from different organisations in the USA, Germany and Austria. In their individual consultations, they gladly work with even the most complex cases and make sure diet plans work for the dog and their individual household.
Sun pm - Julie Holmes
Julie Holmes has many years’ experience in training and working with dogs. It gets to a stage where mentioning the number of years is….., well a lady doesn’t like to reveal her age. But a lot of years and a lot of real life experience with all types of breeds and crossbreds. Julie has also become adept at handling those on the other end of the lead, the owners and the family unit surrounding the pup in question. Through the years she has seen all the changes in temperaments and training methods as well as the immersion of dogs into the family life. Julie likes to keep her sessions very organic with more of a discussion and exchange of real experiences than a lecture type of presentation. Prior to and after her session Julie will be available in the main hall to chat through some of your scenarios and help guide you towards the best and safest outcome for both the two leggeds and four leggeds in the situation.
