Q. Can we pay on the door ? A. Yes of course you are most welcome to attend and pay on the door via our system but you are missing out on the full range of tickets and associated benefits.
Q. Can I pay by visa or other cards ? A. Yes our booking system if based around card payment and tickets can be purchased during the event. Competition entries must be prebooked and cannot be accepted on the day Q. Can I bring my own dog with me for the day out ? A. Sorry but only dogs participating in competition, demo or talks are allowed to attend. It goes without saying that Guide & registered Assistance dogs are allowed. Any venue will only have a certain tolerance of dog visitors and associated problems so we have to respect this. There are also insurance considerations.
Q. Can I bring my child / children with me for the day out ? A. Sorry children are not allowed. This is for safety reasons as it is a professional event so doesn't cater for children's requirements. We also have insurance constraints. Some committee members do draft in their own family members to help run the events but they have special dispensation.
Q. What if I want to just collect a pre-arranged order from the suppliers, do I have to pay ? A. Our basic access ticket covers entry to the shopping area aswell as viewing of the competitions
Q. How early can I access the venue ? A. Generally for our competition weekend you can access the venue at least half an hour prior to dogs being on the table for prejudging
Q. Can I access the venue on the Friday night ? A. Yes you are most welcome to drop off bulky bits like table & crate while the venue is setting up on the Friday. Generally the association gets access to the room on the Friday and a suitable drop off time for equipment will be announced closer to the date
Q. Can I leave grooming equipment etc. in the venue overnight on the Saturday if I'm competing both days ? A. The IPDGA and venue will not be held responsible for items left on site but if you choose to leave equipment onsite the room is locked when finished for the evening, until opened first thing in the following morning. Any equipment left at venue must be stored neatly and not cause a hazard or hindrance to people or dogs
Q. Is there going to be anyone there in attendance to sharpen blades & scissors on the day ? A. We suggest you link directly with your preferred sharpening business to check this . Generally at our October weekend there is at least one of the sharpeners working onsite. Some on the companies also take stands and will take items for sharpening to be returned by post
Q. What stands will be in attendance for the weekend ? A. As of 2022 we hope to have a list of stands to view on our website as we receive confirmation from them. Please bear in mind plans are subject to change at last minute and can be beyond our control
Q. How much for a spectator ? A. Ideally the weekend is a professional package for groomers whether competing or attending the various talks, demos or a combination of everything. If you just want to spectate the basic access ticket might suit. Q. I have paid for the event do we get tickets in the post ? A. No tickets are not sent out in the post. You will receive a formal email / eticket with scan-able QR code before the event and this will be scanned at the door when you arrive. You will then collect your lanyard which should be worn to allow for easy transition in & out of the venue . Your memberworks email receipt is your proof of purchase and receipt for financial accounting needs. Q. How do I get a “Certificate of Attendance” ? A. Certificates of attendance are often available for attending our events. To receive yours you must use the prepay options. Make sure to supply the attendees name at time of purchase Q.
